Go button on the toolbar

Internet Explorer 5 includes a Go button on the toolbar of Windows & Internet Explorer, just next to the drop down address menu.

Go button on the toolbar

Micheal Hotchkin says:
"The Go button was added because many users of previous versions were unclear as to the need to press ENTER after typing an address into the Address Bar in order to proceed. The Go button is meant to offer a GUI solution to that little problem."

However, some advanced users don't see the need for it and luckily this feature can be disabled. The simplest way is to right-click it, and unselect it from the popup menu. Alternativley, you can go to the Tools menu, choose Internet Options... and then select the Advanced tab. Scroll down slightly and uncheck Show Go button in Address bar in the Browsing category.
