Add an Info Pane to Outlook Express
It's possible to add an "Info Pane" to Outlook Express 5 which is basically another window which you can display a web page in, such as the Microsoft stock/news ticker. Enabling it currently requires a bit of Registry tweaking, so fire up Regedit (Start, Run..., type regedit, press enter) and go to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{Identity No.}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0
Create a new String value by going to the Edit menu and choosing New... then String Value. Call it %quot;BodyBarPath" (without the quotes) then double click it and type in any web site address for the BodyBarPath value, such as http://www.ieinfosite.co.uk/
The next time you start Outlook Express, an extra pane should be available displaying some sort of web page depending on what you chose. If not, goto View, Layout and a new Info Pane option should also be available which you can select.
